In 2007, the Dervish was our first venture into dropthrough construction and an opportunity to create a flexy, bamboo composite carver with the versatility to handle a variety of riding styles. Five years later, we’ve revisited this flagship board with new performance aspirations in mind.

With a slightly wider platform than its predecessor, the Dervish Sama balances comfort, edge control, and responsiveness. Combined with a more pronounced concave profile, the extra width enhances turn initiation and slide control. We added subtle nose and tail kicks to increase pop and lock your feet in for freestyle tricks. The neck and dropthrough cutout were also updated for increased durability under hard riding. A six-piece griptape pattern provides enhanced control at the kicks and facilitates comfortable footwork maneuvers on the standing platform without interfering with the board’s flex pattern.

Upturned nose and tail kicks, purposeful griptape patterns, rocker, mellow concave and damp flex (created in part by the use of epoxy bio-resin & cork) result in comfortable and functional ergonomics that inspire confidence on both the dance floor and the hills.

Loaded pioneered the flexible dropthru board with the Dervish in 2007 and the Tan Tien in 2010. We’ve returned to our carving roots using many of the things learned over the past few years from our freeride boards, downhill boards, and our snowboard (with design cues from bacon). Combining wheel flares, cork, a balanced flex pattern and novel manufacturing methods, the Icarus is a milestone in our exploration of the soulful carving experience.

Powerful Flex—Vertically laminated bamboo and fiberglass construction pair with a cambered profile and a variable concave for a lively and engaging ride. The cork bottom helps dampen out vibrations without compromising the liveliness.
User Friendly—Drop-through truck mounting positions the deck lower to the ground for easier, more efficient pushing and enhanced stability. Light weight and compact size make the Icarus intuitive and commuter friendly.
Shapely Curves—The right curves in the right places enhance rider ergonomics while contributing to a responsive and high-performance ride. Wheel well flares accommodate big wheels and improve turning leverage and control. Variable concave yields a consistent flex pattern while providing a variety of riding experiences based on foot placement.

DAVELIN WOOD is a Drop Through Board 37” X 9” (93,98cm X 22,86 cm).
We have designed in Gythio Lakonia- Greece, a medium sized Freeride DT board, Camber shaped, with a concave in all of its length. Its shape gives the rider a very fast longboard with fantastic flexibility, that allows him to turn surprisingly fast.
The deck is made in California U.S.A. and is consisted by 8 plies of laminated sugar maple veneers pressed together, using the best American glue, in order to be l...ighter, stronger, long -lasting and with great elasticity.
We have equipped Davelin Wood with the new trucks BOLZEN180mm 50° and the ORANGATANG MORONGA 72.50 mm wheels, making it ideal for drifting. All of the above, combined with LOADED JEHU V2 bearings , along with the handmade graphics from our artists, make Davelin Wood one of the best boards in the market.
